Although the weather is not at its best in November the owner of a Lagoon 40 needed to move the yacht back from Hendaye to the Netherlands. After 2 days our delivery captain unfortunately had to make the decision to pull into La Rochelle for weather avoidance.
Departing Hendaye on November 11th with nice weather. Sails were set and with a nice 15 to 20 knots breeze the crew sailed into the night. Next day was again a brilliant day. although the depressions were building up. Unfortunately the change of weather was inevitable. Therefore shelter was found in La Rochelle.
After three days in La Rochelle Marina a small window of 12 hours opened and this was enough to move the catamaran to Les Sables d' Olonne. With an upcoming convoy of Lagoons this 40 feeter will join the transport on own keel to the Netherlands. Departure is plannend on December 10th.
